Event Description: 163. Advanced Digital Music Recording Brian Bertucci—We go under the hood to see how the technology works in this advanced section! We will explore microphone types and live recording techniques, how acoustics in a room effect a recording, as well as treatments to cure acoustic problems. We will also take a deeper look at Reverb, EQ, Compression, and Delay, and learn how to create custom settings to sculpt your sound. Students will have time to practice making a balanced mix and mastering an audio file, and receive some feedback on their work. We will finish with a discussion of selling music online, and provide resources for further learning. AUG 9, 16, 23 Thursday Evenings , 6 - 8 pm $60/70 (nm)
