About The Winner's Circle
For the 18th consecutive year, Commerce Lexington Inc. is preparing for its annual Winner’s Circle total resource development program. This initiative enlists the help of around 80 volunteers from throughout the community, who seek to bring in new members, renewals and membership upgrades, while informing existing members of services and marketing opportunities available through Commerce Lexington Inc.
Leading this year’s initiative is Larry Jones of Community Trust Bank, who will serve as Chair of the Winner’s Circle program. The Winner’s Circle program provides a great opportunity for member companies to find marketing opportunities and sponsorships that meet their promotional needs and budget.

GOALS
WHAT IS WINNER'S CIRCLE?
Winner’s Circle is our annual volunteer driven revenue (sales) campaign. Member volunteers recruit new members, upgrade existing members, and secure event sponsors, publication advertising and trade agreements. Volunteers are rewarded with cash incentives, prizes and the opportunity to earn a spot on the annual Victory Trip, the ultimate campaign celebration.
The program is referred to as a “total resource campaign”, meaning that it allows volunteers to promote the complete menu of Commerce Lexington’s resources available to the business community; membership, upgraded membership (providing an extra level of exposure), and marketing through event and publication sponsorship.
Purpose
This campaign allows us to provide new and enhanced programs and member benefits. Winner’s Circle has produced over $10.5 million in the last 16 years. The dollars raised in the annual Winner’s Circle campaign represent 30% of the Chamber operating budget. You can see why this campaign is important to Commerce Lexington!
Timeline
The campaign runs approximately 16 weeks between the Kick-off and Victory Celebrations. Preparation, team building and training begin several weeks prior to kick-off. Throughout the campaign, we hold reward and training events as well as captain meetings; where we strategize and forecast our progress. Add this to the late winter Victory Retreat, “the trip”, and this effort is active in some way for most of the year. The duration of the campaign enables all volunteers to make a contribution as their schedules permit.
Volunteer's Role in the Winner's Circle Program
The Winner’s Circle is a great way for you to meet community and business leaders while working directly with volunteers from your company and the other teams. You are one of many individuals whose teamwork and spirit of volunteerism keep Lexington’s future bright. This is an opportunity for you to grow professionally, to expand your business and community contacts, and to help Commerce Lexington become even stronger and more vital for business in the future.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
EFFICIENT USE OF YOUR TIME
We know that in today’s business climate you are very busy in your job. We are quite sensitive to your time demands. The length of the program is specifically designed to enable you to participate while fulfilling the responsibilities of your job. In addition, Commerce Lexington staff will assist you with orientation, training, and great event opportunities.
