As the Breeders’ Cup World Championships return to Lexington, Commerce Lexington is partnering with the Breeders’ Cup Festival to bring young professionals (and those young at heart) together for an evening of networking, community and live music at The Burl on Thursday, October 29. Through Young Professionals Connect (YPC), Commerce Lexington invites young professionals from across the Greater Lexington region to take part in a special happy hour at The Burl Arcade before enjoying a free concert featuring The Purple Experience, a Prince tribute band. The YPC happy hour will take place from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., providing an opportunity for attendees to connect with fellow young professionals, build new relationships and celebrate the Breeders’ Cup return to Lexington. Registration also enters attendees into a drawing for a chance to win two free Breeders’ Cup tickets. Following the happy hour, attendees can head outside to enjoy The Purple Experience as part of the 2026 Breeders’ Cup Festival lineup. The free concert will continue until 11 p.m., creating an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate one of the region’s signature international sporting events. This partnership reflects Commerce Lexington’s commitment to creating opportunities for young professionals to connect, build relationships and engage in the Greater Lexington community. By joining the Breeders’ Cup Festival, YPC is helping bring together the region’s emerging leaders and professionals for an evening of shared experiences and celebration.
