Leadership Central Kentucky Selects Class for 2024-25 Program

8/20/2024

The Leadership Central Kentucky program is announcing its newest class of regional leaders that will begin the 2024-25 leadership development program with an orientation retreat later this week in Madison County at the Historic Boone Tavern. Now beginning its 23rd year, Leadership Central Kentucky’s mission for its graduates, is for them “to educate to lead, connect, and know our communities.”

Presented by KU, participants will attend day sessions each month within the eight-county region that includes Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Jessamine, Madison, Scott, and Woodford counties. Class members will study community and regional topics such as transportation, education, economic development, quality of life, public advocacy, and agri-tourism. The topics are covered by knowledgeable speakers and panels, tours, interactive exercises, and class discussions.

By connecting Central Kentucky’s leading minds, this unique program cultivates a collaborative spirit and a shared vision for the region’s future. By fostering a deep understanding of our region, we aim to equip these leaders to create a stronger, more prosperous community and to unlock the region’s full potential" said Tyra Harbut, Director of Leadership Development.
