PRESENTED BY:
Join us for the upcoming 2024 Regional Summit presented by Community Trust Bank on Wednesday, November 20 at the Hyatt Regency Lexington (401 W. High Street). Breakfast and networking begin at 7:30 a.m. The program is from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Summit provides the opportunity for business, community, and local government leaders within the nine-county Bluegrass Region to network with each other, receive updates on the Regional Competitiveness Plan, and learn from industry experts about how we can make Greater LEX more competitive for jobs and talent.
During this full-day event, leaders will hear from Ted Abernathy (Economic Leadership), who will present his annual economic update for the region, how our region is comparing to other competitor metros, trends for workforce and economic development, and progress report on the measurable goals for the Regional Competitiveness Plan. Those goals include increasing the region’s job, wage, and GDP growth rates to the national average, attracting more young professionals to the region, attracting state and federal funding to support infrastructure and advocacy for policies to improve the business climate.
One of the key action items for the Regional Competitiveness Plan this year is creating a new talent attraction website and digital Greater LEX talent marketing campaign to attract more people to the region. Kismet Marketing will provide attendees with overview of the new talent attraction strategy for the Greater LEX, including the new website (www.LookAtLex.com), digital Live/Work ads to target external audiences and how stakeholders can follow the campaign.
