Reuben Watson Finalist for Kentucky Chamber Young Professional of the Year

​This year the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce launched the inaugural Young Professional of the Year Award and held an open call for nominations. After assessing multiple quality candidates from the Greater Lexington region, our team nominated Reuben Watson of Sunrise Children's Services (Kentucky).

Reuben has worked closely with our team over the last few years, most notably Chairing the EMERGE Conference Planning Committee. He is also a current member of the 2024 Leadership Lexington class. ​Reuben's journey from adversity to empowerment is nothing short of remarkable, and we're calling on you to help us celebrate his inspiring achievements and vote for him to win this inaugural award.

​About Reuben Watson
Reuben is a husband and father of two, whose story is one of resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to serving his community. Despite facing a childhood marked by abuse, neglect, and trauma, Reuben refused to let his circumstances define him. Instead, he turned his pain into purpose, dedicating himself to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
As the Director of Outreach and Advancement at Sunrise Children’s Services, Reuben plays a pivotal role in supporting families who have experienced abuse or neglect. Reuben's career has been packed full of purpose - previously serving as Volunteer and Guest Services Manager at Ronald McDonald House charities.
